Pakistan Inflation in May 2020

Islamabad (Business Reporter): Inflation rate in May 2020 increases by 8.22 percent while compare to May 2019, Federal Bureau of Statistics said in a statement today. Inflation rate was up by 0.32 per cent over April 2020 due to Eid shopping.

Analysts said May had witnessed demand pressure due to Ramadan and Eid festival. Prices of food items varied according to seasonal demand and supply position. However, cloths and other wearable items reported significant increase due to Eid shopping.
